A long time since my last update. A LOT of things going on at Ramedus, I’ll run you through the projects, first the web stuff, then the photo stuff and lastly the video stuff.

WEB

(sneak peak of the Apollo layout)

1. Together with my intern Jens Klemets I’m doing a website for Apollo Mobile which is a London-based company that has developed a cutting-edge mobile content management platform called RE4CTOR. The layout is done and we are building the site with wordpress at the moment. It will be launched in about a week so I’ll post a link when that happens!

2. Last weekend I got a call from Macke Granfors who is one of the guitarrists in the Vaasa pop/rock band Daisy Jack. He said that they were in urgent need of a new website and asked me if I could fix one a.s.a.p. I gladly accepted the job and the website should be done in about 4 days or so. I have to say that it’s one of my best looking web designs so far, so keep your eyes open for the web release!

3. I’m also building a website for the Pietarsaari-based company Easthill Traiding. The company sells Western, American and cowboy articles. The owner of the company also happens to be my godfather.

PHOTOGRAPHY

1. Me and my partner in crime Tage Rönnqvist got a photo gig for “Fortbildningscentrum Prakticum” which is a vocational school in Helsinki. We’re going to shoot some promotional photos for their “grown-up educations” (don’t know what to call it) that will be used in their marketing and for the web. Two days of shooting, one next Tuesday and one in May. Alot of differet programs which means a lot of shots, but I’m sure that it will be alot of fun!

2. Today my friend and colleague Anders Lönnfeldt had a photoshoot with singer/songwriter Frida Andersson att Milliklubi in Helsinki. He asked me if I wanted to be his assistent during the shoot and I gladly accepted. I also managed to get a few shots of both Frida and Anders, check them out!

VIDEO

1. The music video duo Tage and Rasmus will shoot a second video for the Turku band The Cajunga with the help of our great team Anders Lönnfeldt, Magnus Wikström and Sara Dahlback. The script is great and I’m really looking forward to this project! Tomorrow Joel and Oskar from the band will visit Helsinki to come and finish the design for their new single and we’ll also have a video meeting to check that everything is OK! The video will be shot the 2nd and 3rd of May in Helsinki and Pojo.

2. It is now official that Tage and Rasmus will shoot a music video for singer/songwriter Fredrik Furu in the middle of May. Fredrik will do a duett with a secret guest star and there is not much that I can say about the video at the moment, but one thing I can tell you.. this video is going to be EPIC!

That’s about it for now! Stay tuned!

Hello!

Sorry for not posting any news for a while. The reason is that I’ve been on vacation to Israel for a week and then after that went home to my parents in Ostrobothnia. But now I’m back in business!

In about 10min my friend and colleague Tage Rönnqvist will visit the Ramedus office and we’ll start editing the Coredust music video. The video will premiere on saturday at Painobaari in Helsinki, so let’s hope that everything goes as planned!

I also got a couple of new web projects coming up that I’ll tell you more about later. Another cool thing is that I’ll have an intern here for 10 weeks working for me starting tomorrow! :)

Here is a pic of me from a Tomcar ride in the Eilat mountains last week!

New lens – Nikkor 80-200 f2.8D ED

Got myself a new lens today, the Nikkor 80-200 f2.8D!

Today I went to Rajala Pro Shop in Helsinki to see if they had any good lenses that would replace my old Sigma 24-70 f2.8, which I didn’t like at all! I knew that I would really need a tele zoom lens but I was looking for a good normal zoom. It turned out that they had a used Nikon tele-zoom and I tested it and fell in love with it. So now I’m one normal-zoom poorer and one tele-zoom richer !:)

Here is a pic of me, my camera and my new lens, taken by Tage the man!
